The Rotary Leadership Institute—or simply Rotary Learning—is a multi-district, grassroots, Rotary knowledge and leadership development program. RLI’s mission is to provide a comprehensive educational opportunity for all interested Rotarians.

We invite you to join us in launching 2021's "Give a Feed" campaign, with Aggie Przybylo from Foodbank WA. We hope to roar past the 25,000 hamper, $500,000 raised and 50,000 fed milestones this festive season.

In 2021 we aim to create 3,000 hampers - for families struggling to put Christmas meals on their tables.

The 2021 launch will be held at at Gloucester Park on the evening of Tuesday 16 November. Come for a casual a la carte meal from Steelo's from 6.00 pm (Bookings) ... and enjoy the twilight trotting. The meal and launch briefing (from 7.00 pm) will be held in Quinnys Room (with a quiet drink to celebrate).

The “Give A Feed” project provides Christmas food hampers, to vulnerable people, across WA, struggling to afford enough food to eat. Foodbank WA, helps bulk-buy produce and distribute the hampers. Bulk-buying means hampers with retail values two to three times the donation can be created.

Give a Feed involves "wholesale" generosity. Every club and member can participate and help promote this program in public, and across their business, professional and community networks.

It is a fantastic way of 'paying it forward' by encouraging corporate giving. It can be a great Christmas recognition of staff, customers, contractors and suppliers, family and friends.

2022 District 9455 Conference Art Competition for Link Schools

Is your Rotary link school participating in the 2022 District 9455 Conference Art Competition?

The art competition is taking place NOW in Term 4. Schools have until the end of their school year to complete the artwork.

What format will the competition take?

The artwork will be in the form of an A2 poster. Students are invited to investigate a West Australia Aboriginal artist that they like and present an informative poster about the artist. Please have a look at the specifications in the Rotary District 9455 Art competition – schools’ letter that came attached to an email to club presidents back in August or see below.

Who is the competition for and who decides who will enter?

The poster competition is for art students in Years 7 to 10. Schools will decide how many students will participate and, if possible, build this into their program for Term 4 or it can be done as a private activity at home.

How much will it cost for your link school to enter the competition?

Cost to the Rotary Club = $100. If you have more than one link school the fee will be discounted.

There are some great prizes on offer including art materials and the opportunity to participate in a masterclass with an established artist. Please get behind this reconciliation initiative.

The Santos Science Experience … where science meets fun.

The Santos Science Experience needs help from our regional and remote Rotary Clubs. Can your Club help register 2 students for the scholarships provided by the regional ministers in the following locations? Year 9 & 10 high school students get a 3 or 4 day, in-person program at one of our WA universities.

Your Club will send the application to The Science Experience main office and let them know which electorate your scholar is from. The Science Experience will process the registration and the electorate’s scholarship.
