You have been invited into the membership of the Rotary Club of…………, because we believe that you exemplify the personal and ethical qualities which we regard as essential for a Rotarian.
You will hold the classification of…………………………………… and we ask that you keep us informed about this occupation and also to take the principles of Rotary back to your vocation.
You will also have the responsibility to regularly attend weekly meetings, to attend your committee meetings and to actively participate in club Programs in order to promote fellowship and the Objects of Rotary.
In addition we ask you to take responsibility for inviting suitable men and women to membership of Rotary.
You are now part of a worldwide organisation committed to international understanding, goodwill and peace, and we ask you to extend these principles in all of your activities. At the same time, we, as members of the Rotary Club of …………………………. accept our responsibility for extending to you the right hand of Rotary fellowship. We also undertake to provide you with Rotary information, and every opportunity and support to enable you to become a knowledgeable and fully participating Rotarian.

(Invites the member’s partner to come out and stand next to their partner and makes a small presentation to the partner whilst at the same time welcoming them also to the fellowship of the club.)
