ShelterBox

A PROJECT PARTNER OF ROTARY INTERNATIONAL
ShelterBox is a cutting-edge charity that hand-delivers emergency shelter for families devastated by natural disaster and conflict. Our signature ShelterBoxes and ShelterKits contain the tools to transform lives and rebuild communities.
Since its inception, ShelterBox has been intrinsically linked with Rotary. Starting out as a club project in 2000, it has grown to become Rotary International’s Project Partner for disaster relief. ShelterBox works with Rotarians around the world to deliver emergency shelter and essential items following disasters and humanitarian crisis.
In 2021 ShelterBox assisted over 143,000 people, that’s around 28,000 families. From hurricanes, flooding, earthquakes and conflict, we responded in 9 countries, almost all with the added threat of coronavirus.
We no longer just respond with ShelterBoxes, our inventory includes different types of tents to suit a range of conditions, shelter kits and tarpaulins to repair damaged homes and essential items like water filters and solar lights. Our aspiration is that no one goes without shelter following disasters. You can help us achieve this aim.
ShelterBox has 14 global affiliates, all dedicated to raising funds for and awareness of disaster relief. The organisation continues to research and develop its equipment, train its volunteer ShelterBox Response Team members (SRTs) and position stocks so that it can respond effectively and immediately to the next major disaster. Your support is greatly appreciated.
